Banana River weekend w/Bill

Saturday off of 528 SW corner of Banana River

No fish caught, but good new area to consider in the future,

the sandbar is too shallow even for yaks in the winter, but make for good wading.

Sunday - fished the benefit tourney for Capt Shawn.

NE corner of NMZ, saw lots of BIG tails, caught none!

Weatherman couldn't find his ass with both hands!!!!

I caught a few trout and got payback on a puffer, Bill caught a few jacks,

NO Reds for either of us.

Indian River off 528 South side with Bill

I finally got a red on the new yak.

Both pics are the same fish, but I liked the spots on both sides.

We both caught puffers as usual.

Another day of Puffer carnage.

Still a great winter day - sunny, 75 and light winds!

Managed a few trout, but no reds.

New yak - First trip - Hanger AF-solo

I love the new XFactor!!!! (I sold my boat finally)

The rudder is great, the seat more stable and comfortable(looks cool too).

Spent the first 4 hours hunting for big Reds to break it in right, it didn't happen.

Switched from plastics to a Skitterwalk to catch a trout and get the skunk off the boat.

First 2 fish - Puffers

Next fish - Needle fish

Finally, nearing the end of the trip and hoping I wouldn't only have trash fish on my maiden voyage, I caught a respectable trout. Then another.

NO big Reds, but 2 decent trout to end an 8 hour leisurely paddle.
